Russian River Valley Chardonnay

Tasting Note

Crafted with precision from six pedigreed sites, our newest vintage shines with an opalescent, pale straw hue. Aromas of red apple skin, Asian pear, and Meyer lemon zest entices the nose, followed by delicate notes of gardenia. Lively flavors of apricot and nectarine emerge on the palate, giving way to lemon meringue and baking spice. Bright and energetic with a vibrant acidity, this graceful wine ends with a long, seamless finish.

Appellation

The Russian River Valley appellation lies between the Russian River and Mayacamas Mountains, creating a region defined by its proximity to the ocean and sheltered climate. Coastal breezes funneled through the Petaluma Gap push cool air and maritime fog over the region each morning, balancing the area’s afternoon sunshine. The combination of cool fog and warm temperatures, coupled with enviable soils, creates excellent conditions for pristine Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
